Man Needs Work..

Thank you for posting this information from the other board. Raul is a very honest, hard working person. We are trying to help him. His dogs are wonderfully trained. I wish our Beagle behaved as they do. I hope Raul does not leave this area. We need hardworking, honest people.

all well and good but there are many honest and hardworking long term residents and lots who were born here, who really need work and will do anything to even earn a small amount. i know this from experience and give them work whenever i can.

Most on this board are not native to the area. I would trust that one's place of origin would not be a hindrance to creating a new and productive life Lakeside.

I'm not saying that it's right or that it's entirely deserved but chilangos like Raul are often seen in an unfavorable light by many Mexicans..

you don't live here where you can see your neighbours and their famiies going hungry-that is hypocrisy at it's finest.every mexican auslander that decides to come here because there are RICH ferners takes something away from them. that's what i do-support my neighbours and hopefully there are many others like me. so send him a bus ticket and have him work on your farm and pay him the going texas wage.

Suppose Pedro you thought it right for California to deny access to those Oakies during the depression using your argument. They are Mexicans they can go anywhere in Mexico. I seem to recall when the blind man died you thought there was no need to help his 90 yr old mother. You thought her (non existent) family could do it.
Not everyone can be local.
The world over , poor people travel to where the work is, i.e. where the rich people live.
I'm going to assume that everyone working here are not locals.
Please continue to help your neighbors, but enough disparaging someone looking for work, trying to survive, it shouldn't matter where they came from.

where did i disparage him? i will you though-don't mingle much with the poorer locals do you? as to your anecdote about the blind mother, how familiar where you with her that you can say for certain that she had no extended family. if she did not then that would be highly unusual especially for someone her age in a catholic country.

There are many people working in this community who were deported from the United States. They are not being discriminated against and found a new home.

We could not survive in the Agriculture business in the pacific northwest without the Mexicans. Legal and illegal. A few years ago everybody scared the Mexicans away from Washington and a sizable portion of the cherry crop did not get harvested.  My mothers house in Seattle has a Mexican landscaper, roofer and handyman.  They really do take care of my mother along with others. I trust them all. They are so interested when they find out that her son lives in Mexico! Lots of stories lakeside about deported folks including one friend who spoke no English and was dumped in Monterrey.

Pedro, if you have neighbors going hungry, why not try to enlist some help for them on this board? That would be more productive than attacking people who want to help a man who's willing to work for his own food.

i help my neighbours and this man is taking something away from locals. why don't you concentrate on your neighbours instead of some auslander who may take work away from them. consider yourself attacked if you choose to call it that which it really isn't. i have seen many transients come and eventually go.
