Chapala Plaza

Took a look at the renovation currently underway at the Chapala plaza. It looks like we're only going to get a facelift and not the full remodel...and I thank the gods for that. The workers have dug up the walkways and stripped the slate from the borders around the planted gardens in preparation for tiling. All the trees and plants remain intact. The architectural renderings I saw for the complete remodeling the plaza looked pretty stark and sterile to me.

I saw possibly the same renderings and I agree, hopefully it is just a limited design program they used, or they did not want to spend the time to make the background look appealing?

I only hope they leave those big trees alone .
