HELP CALLING CELL PHONES

I am trying to call a cell phone in gdl from USA! What numbers preceeding destination call.

I am calling 333 601 XXXX Please help...........TIA

International on land lines would prefix 001 - 52 - and the number...

Jim, When calling a MX cell from US landline I believe you need this format..  011, 52, 1 , 333, 601, XXXX

I have had the same issue using a Telcel phone while out of country, trying to call another cell phone back home. It is hit or miss. Call the operator and ask for assistance placing the call.

Still doesn't work guys. I think there is a 45 needed. GAWD it sucks when you can't call a cell from US

try that, if it doesn't work try 045-52-331-XXX-XXXX

How do you know that the 333 number is a cell phone? If it is then 011-52-1-333-601-xxxx should work. If it doesn't something else is wrong like the cell phone is no longer in service.

045 will NOT work when calling from the USA and the people suggesting that are not paying attention to the fact that you are trying this from the USA.

a quick check on google agrees with hueco negro. 044 and 045 are for use only in mexico.

Have you tried calling a cell phone before? If it is the first time with a phone company they may not have activated international calling, I have seen it happen.

to call Mexico from the US you would dial

011 52 376 765 7553 for calling my office landline

011 52 1 331 556 0828 to call my cell phone for example

Within Mexico you need to use the 044 and 045 to call cell phones from landlines and straight 10 digit dial from cell phones, although sometimes it changes when using US cell phones in Mexico to call Mx cell phones or local numbers

You just have to love lawyers and legal advice, even for telephones.

Cell phones have only been around for thirty years.  Give them a little time to work out the kinks.
