Insurance question

Does anyone know of any of the hospitals in Guad. (full services) that offer their own insurance plan if you use that facility? If so, could you post names and info here please. Thanks!

None that I know of and if they did why would it be any cheaper than the private insurance companies? Start getting prices from the private health insurance companies, if you're not going to self insure yourself. Most of all compare their benefits closely. They ARE different.

Medical insurance here is almost the same price for every company. Don't shop for price, get a good agent.

I agree a good agent is the key to health insurance here. Getting the paper work filed in time to go to the hospital or telling you what to do if you have an emergency so you don't have to pay out of pocket and pry reimbursement out of the hands of the insurers is what the agent does. The agent is the key to insurance here.

If you ask for quotes at high deductibles your insurance quotes will be cheaper, but you need to be able to pay the high deductible and possibly co-insurance when or if you need your insurance, such as for a hospitalization.

Get a good company first, then get a good Agent. Medical insurance premiums won't be the same with all companies, but don't buy the cheapest because that's what you'll get.

I can verify and I'm sure simpsca will agree to Seguros Monterrey being the best Health insurance company in my 10 years of dealing with them and after two operations. The Agent is Edgar Cedeno Cadenas who explains the details of the policy. Edgar picks up your monthly facturas and delivers checks to your house. The reason Seguros Monterrey is the best is because they ONLY handle Health and Life insurance, not car, homeowner's and others. You can get car and Homeowner's insurance thru Edgar as he handles other companies. I have Homeowner's with him. If you go see him, tell him John from Los Arroyos recommended him.

Yes, I agree with all John said above. I have been with the company and Edgar for 11 years, 3 surgeries and one pneumonia and all claims were handled without me having to pay out of pocket too much money and hospital and doctors were paid directly by the insurer.
