Is your Mexican attorney really an attorney?

Post by Intercasa on Fri Apr 29, 2011 2:44 pm

I have access to the official list of all attorneys registered with the court in Chapala, all attorneys MUST appear on this list as if they do not, they probably aren't a real attorney or perhaps just became one. If they do not appear on the list they will usually be given a 3 day period in which to prove they are an attorney or their lawsuit will be tossed out. If you are thinking of giving (large) sums of money to someone claiming to be an attorney for legal services, you should check to see if they really are one as this is some easy due diligence.

You can PM / call me with a name and I can check the list.
