Custom ceramic wall plaques

Is anyone making these locally? Like the kind that usually say "Mi Casa su casa", etc.

We ordered ours at the shop in Chapala, opposite the palacio municipal.

Yes, probably the place by Paninos (next door to the closed Angela's Bistro) will do it too.

I've been having a crappy experience with them with a mirror order - still a simple thing - for the last two months. And I'm easy. They are also moving their store, or opening a second outlet, just east of the Coca Cola place on the carretera. It's all in process. A house plaque should be easy if you decide to order it from them, but...good luck if you go in that direction. I'm sour on my current experience.

I got mine through the place east of where Magana's was in that same strip of shops.

Tonala also makes that type of talavera. I know that 15 years ago I had tiles made for our pool by a place thta was on the Chapala Guadalajara Hwy and they later moved to el Salto or I do not know where but I was told at the time that this type of tile was made by various companies in Tonalá.
Bring in Ajijic I would shop in the area but if you cannot find what you want you can always go to Tonalá.
Te place in Joco on the left hand side past the nursery at the entance of town also can get those and so can the place in CHapala on Medero, left handside as you go towards Soriana. All thse people deal with DOlores Hidalgo talavera so they can get those made.
