Weird Charge on Phone Bill. What is it?

Our phone bill has a charge for 39.00 pesos dated Jul 22-2016 (3 months ago) for Seguro Inbursa Integral. We have no clue what this is for, 3 months ago. Has anyone else had this odd charge and if so, what is it? We will be going to TelMex to have it removed, whatever it is.

It's life insurance. I went yesterday and had it taken off the bill. It's thievery, they are hoping you don't notice. It's TelMex. . .

Lloyd did the same thing. I went and ranted and raved and they said they'd take it off my bill but 3 mos later they hadn't so I closed my account. A friend's wife died and he tried for 3 years to collect on the policy to no avail, lawyers and all. It's a scam.

Well this is really great. I signed no paper taking out insurance or authorization to charge on my phone bill. When I get the scoop, I'll post it.

No. Nobody did. Not only did I never authorize the charge I never gave them a beneficiary. So, if I died, who were they gonna give the money to? lol

I talked to 3 people yesterday, there is no scoop. Not that I learned anyway.

Seguro Inbursa Integral is comprehensive insurance from a company called Inbursa which is owned by the richest man in the world, Carlos Slim. Now we can guess that part of the reason he got so rich was by screwing his customers. I don't need my landline anymore so I'm just going to quit paying Telmex. If I need to make a phone call I'll use my smartphone.

Telecable. I've been using it for years.

I have LTE data from AT&T which is almost three times as fast as my Telecable.

We had the charge on our bill as well. But, there were 2 different bar codes at the bottom to make the payment with. One to accept Telmex telephone and internet, the other to accept Telmex and ALL other services. I'll let you know if there were any issues with not accepting the ALL services. (my caps, not theirs)

We have a negocio line and have not, so far, received the insurance billing.
