Facebook

It's pretty simple actually, never put anything out there that could cause you embarrassment or trouble. I taught my kids this when they first started using the internet. I still cringe at a few things they post on Facebook.....

Before there was the internet, there was letter writing. Same deal, including blackmailing.

When you burned it it was gone forever.

It was the recipient or interceptor you had to worry about.

Gringal, I compromise. I use a fake name, and only communicate with a few selected people. Honestly I am too private and too busy to keep up with what dozens of people are doing.

I have neither the time or the inclination to keep up with dozens of people's activities.  Most aren't that interesting.  Neither are mine.
