Guadalajara to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point)

Does anyone know the best way to get from Chapala to Puerto Penasco? From what I have ascertained from various websites there appears to be no flight from Guadalajara to Rocky Point. Any suggestions? We are okay to take a multiple stop flight but do not want to drive very far.

Fly to nearest Mexican city and bus from there?

Puerto Penasco is a little weird to get to. I do know there is an express bus from Phoenix's no. 2 airport to there.

You might find air connections to Hermosillo, then look for buses from there.

you could fly Volaris to Mexicali, then take bus to Rocky point

Thanks for all the suggestions. Have not decided if or when I will go. Really don't want to spend that much time in a bus (health issues).

Fly to Mexicali. Bus to rocky point approx 2 hours.
