This race is scheduled for tomorrow with the Tarahumara racers coming and I'd like to see the participants, esp Lorena and Juana Ramírez, when they cross the finish line. The starting line is reported to be adjacent to the Ajijic malecon and they set off at 6AM. There is no mention of the finish line! Anybody know - or would you suppose - the finish line would be same as the starting line???

Yup, start and finish at the same place, next to the park, west side of the pier. In´previous years the runners headed out and returned on final leg via Calle Colon-Morelos. It a winding route. Be prepared to wait. Last year the fastest time for the 43 km race was 4 hours 35 minutes. First woman across the lie clocked just under six hours.

But the Ramirez girls weren't running last year! I'm thinking not only will they be first in, they might do it in under 4.5 hours. . .  No?

Thanks for the info, Pazquato, muy amable!

Wow, what a thrill to see Lorena running down Colon to the finish line in her blue dress! She did not win, but it was worth my 4 hour wait to see her.
She left at 6AM and returned at a couple minutes after 1 - a total of 7 hours running the mountains from Chapala to Joco and back.
Her brother arrived a couple of hours earlier and I didn't see her sister.
Can you see her here?
