I need help learning how to use my new Apple IPad and download programs from my computer to it

When you plug your iPad into your computer it should open up your ITunes program which is where all your previous apps can be seen and transferred onto your new IPad. Otherwise you need to go the the iTunes store on your iPad and download them.
