I think what they have done to TOB is brilliant!! The Grand Mufti can post about everything just like he has always done....he hasn't been removed....but now no one can read what he says and if they do get to read anything he says....they usually can't respond.
He can't say they replaced him, censored him, asked him not to be negative....It is a win for everyone.

I can't see how TOB is/was any great help to a company engaged in the sale of real estate, especially to foreigners reading the posts for guidance as to whether this is a good place to relocate,.....or not, when the principals managing the board are constantly negative about so many things.

Yes. IMO, We do need newcomers, preferably with a positive attitude. I know there are some who would prefer to lock the gates.

The collapse of TOB is not a sure thing yet! The Grand Mufti, in full regalia, was seen dropping off two large packs of AAA batteries and ten minutes later the site was back up. The Mufti was heard to call out as he rode off on his gold cart...." it ain't over yet..."

Tomorrow evening, March 30, will be a great time to read the postings on the Chapala.com webboard. End of the month so the usual cranky posters will be running out of meds. Then of course it will be Friday happy hour.

The INANE back and forth on TOB, which there is a lot of, can just stay there as far I'm concerned. Occasionally there is something informative, but you have to wade through a lot of muck to get to it, like who has the most qualifications to post on any subject and what their pedigree is, and then the usual fusillade of CV's.
I forgot to mention that only by reading TOB did I learn that you achieve the plateau of PHD in the discipline of "loud music'.

Isn't there a REAL Christian web board you could steer them to?
I wouldn't want them to have to associate with the barbarians, heathens, and pagans that populate this part of the web world.
BTW.....Newman was a pretty good actor who could act out of character. Must have convinced that guy.

This was going to be the life time success story of the former "greatest real estate broker in the USA", the man that was going to "give maids a living wage," the man that was going to "force" local government to take notice, the man who would be known as the "destroyer" of grafitti, the former "highway designer," the ender of music in all venues.......and what is left....a site that blinks on and off if more than two posters try to get on.

I suspect that the real estate company got around to reading some of the recent material on the site, decided it was NOT the kind of thing that would attract customers and concluded that it should die a natural death...from starvation. When I recently clicked on it and it actually came up, I then clicked on a section and after waiting until my patience ran out, I gave up and left. Shouldn't take long to expire at this rate.

I suspect the Admin is out of town again and the board is down without his daily intervention to keep it running. Same thing seems to happen every holiday over there.........
