Tin rain gutters
Can anyone recommend a sheetmetal guy to make a rain gutter? Preferably one that comes to the house, takes the measurements and installs it.

One of the fereterias west of El Bar Co has samples out front. Don't know if they install or not. A couple of the samples are rainy season size. I am looking for the same. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Tin rain gutters
This is one I had made several years ago but I had a contractor get it for me and don't know where he got it.

I had some made about 9 years ago from PVC piping cut in half. Still doing the job today. I do not know if PVC would be cheaper than metal. They still have the original paint job to match the tiles. They also have been in the sun for 9 years and have not disintegrated yet.

Re: Tin rain gutters
I have galvanized metal ones made last year and installed by JP Home Services. They are nowhere as near as deep as the ones that CBob has. It came in three pieces and I honestly could have installed it better myself. I had to have them come back to put more inclination into the drop to the downspout... the joins were not supported... and you're supposed to have the higher elevation one above the lower elevation ones so that the flow of water is not obstructed... and I can't easily paint them either. They work now but I can't say I'm impressed... just biding time. On the other hand, they're a huge improvement over the way the water drained before.
Wish someone would get a truck with the equipment mounted in the back that can custom make them on site.

I also have pvc gutters that I made and installed myself however in a couple of places the runoff is far greater than the little pvc ones can handle.
