I love those that say the Mexican culture doesn't include loud music. Total BS. There is loud music everywhere you go here in Mexico. I've regularly seen 500W (plus) amplifiers blasting music for store promotions...…..and it ain't for the expats.

I have noise from a boom box daily in the house that is being constructed next door. The particular guy that wants it LOUD is hard of hearing... I wonder why... he's in his twenties.
It even bugs the guys he's working with. Luckily I have the cell phone number of the builder when it gets intolerable and the volume is turned down within 10 minutes.

Well just be careful. That's what started the dispute between that lady in La Floresta and her next door construction workers a few years back. That did not end well.

Let’s make some noise: Panasonic designs stronger speakers for Mexico
They were custom designed by Mexican engineers for 'más fiesta'

Some locals and many visitors agree that Mexico is loud enough already, but that is not stopping Japanese electronics firm Panasonic from introducing two new, stronger speakers, designed especially for Mexico and its parties.

I found it interesting, amusing, and I guess somewhat ironic that Intercam, a bank popular with many foreigners sent out a holiday message on the internet to it's customer base, saying...."Ser Mexicano se grita con orgullo".
Of course, this pertains to Dia de Independenciia", but could be translated literally as..."To be Mexican, is shouting, screaming, yelling loudly, with PRIDE.
(LOUDLY)
