Chapala Med has formal affiliations with hospitals in Guadalajara and soon will have the backing and partnership with a Top 10 (according to U.S. Business and World Report) University Hospital in the U.S. We strive for excellence and recognize that there is always room for improvement and growth. We do welcome honest and constructive feedback. We have a suggestion box in our office and my patients have direct communication with me via many avenues.
We are grateful for the patients that we have had in the past and continue to have until today. The level of education of our doctors as well as the service, staff and location merit what comes out to $40-$50 USD per visit. Most of the EXPATS, although they live on a fixed income, continue to enjoy income in US or Canadian funds. I've always stated that at Chapala Med, we offer income based discounts.
Also, please know that the when you chose us as your primary care practice, you'll be directly supporting worthy causes such as the fight against breast cancer, the Tepehua community center and clinic and local scholarships.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.

Dra. Claudia Camacho is a member of your specialists staff? What does "part of your network" mean exactly? Since she has her own office in the area and in Guadalajara, her own practice, and her own surgery center - how is she affiliated with you?

I wonder how many doctors are in town practicing without a Cedula. I know of at least one chiropractor. Has anyone ever checked out all the doctors at places such as Maskaras Clinic and Quality care?

I know that. A physician can refer a patient to ANY specialist ANYwhere and it does not mean there is necessarily any association with that specialist other than it's a recommendation. It would not be prudent to put that specialist on your website with bio and photo and call that specialist part of your team - unless they actually were.
Ni modo, I will ask her next month when I see her.

What is the problem with putting the "specialists" that you refer people to on your website. Seems like you (and a couple others) are on some sort of a witch hunt here TR. If you have something to say about Chapala Med then maybe just come out and say it versus these innuendos and passive aggressive statements.

Well, perhaps Dr. Hernandez could say this is a list of specialists he recommends instead of saying they are “physicians in Chapala Med’s network” who “support” his patients.

Not a witch hunt, CB.
The specialists at Maskaras and QC are Mexican nationals.

Some practitioners who come here from the US and Canada set up a practice without doing their one year of community service. Everyone has to do that service before a cedula will be granted. I don't doubt that many of them are well qualified to practice but they need to provide Mexico with that service year just like every national is required to do. I just would like to see a level playing field when foreigners are competing with national practitioners.

Well stated Gamina.
CBob… would you care to explain why you deleted posts on the other thread that you then locked? The Doctor's post in question certainly shocked me.

The posts were personal and belonged in the Octagon. Feel free to start it up in there.

Yes, they were very personal and I do hope that Chapalamed posts again in the Octagon. It would have been even better if you had moved them there... verbatim.

Well, I missed the post but from what I'm told it was unprofessional and creepy. So be it.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas, I'm going to Pancho's to see if he has any turkey left!

Yes. From what I was told (after I asked what I missed) I agree with your assessment of unprofessional and creepy. CBob did the doctor a favor by deleting his post rather than moving the exchange to the Octogon as he sometimes does when threads get so personal and weird. I hope the doctor appreciates being saved from himself.
Enjoy your trip to Pancho’s and I hope there is some turkey left! Onward to the New Year celebration!
