BTW......for those that have their own Shaw account you can sign up to Shaw Direct online and use their "FreeRange" system which allows subscribers to stream all their channels via their laptop, tablet or phone. You do need an IP masker set for a Canadian IP address as they don't even allow streaming outside of Canada. This may be the way to go for those people wanting to maintain all their Shaw viewing choices once the Shaw Satellite signal is unavailable this far south in a few years. You could probably add their Android app to a Roku type box. Of course we need the higher speed fiber optics to get up and running here first...….

Some people with the older LNB have reported losing HD channels 558, 559 and 560 in the past couple of weeks. I have the newer LNB and still receive those channels.

Bob you will get a kick out of this, but up North, I have the smaller Star Choice/Shaw Direct 60E satellite dish, I have lost some channels and am getting a message that I need to upgrade to a newer satellite dish. Apparently it is the same size but is somehow different.

I had already upgraded to the newer 3 satellite LNB. It is just the satellite dish that I have to upgrade. No big deal. I will do it when I return to the family cottage this coming summer.

I have the 75E dish here and have no problems nor seen any messages. I would imagine switching to a smaller 60E down here would not be a good idea anyhow.

Not in Mexico. I have the smaller 60E dish up North. In Mexico, like you said, one should use either the larger 75E dish, or as some do, a 1.2 meter elliptical satellite dish with two offset flashlight LNBs each pointing at one of the two satellites we can receive in Mexico.

Same here, no problem with those channels.
