Mexico post office is getting better
Today I got my retirement 1099 from Oregon. It was mailed Jan 29 and got to the Chapala po on Mar 13 and delivered today. Used to take a full 2 months to get mail.

Not really. I just got my daughter's Christmas card yesterday. Mailed from Ontario, Canada Dec. 15th. Three months to get it, no Improvement from previous years.

So the timing for my mail was an aberration rather than the new norm?

Maybe the Christmas season slows things down. Maybe mail class has some impact (1st class, 3rd class?).

All my mail is 1st class and sometimes air mail--jajajaja. I just had the vision of a burro with wings.

People lakeside always used to say that sending my from up north to a Mexican address takes much longer during the Christmas season.
I presume that it is still so.
