I'll try later, just came by after swimming. Don't want to embarrass anyone again cause i looked so bad. Very Happy

It is penarme. With an n not an ñ.
Actually, it's "peinarme".

peinarme (peinar) and penarme (penar) are two different words.
Both are spelled correctly.

I just figured she wasn't being bashful about running around in her swim suit. Hadn't noticed they were talking about a beauty salon. But she probably meant what you said.

Well, I had a very sad sweat suit over it and looked pretty ridiculous. Not something I normally do but made an exception. All better now :)

saege007 wrote:The article is off a bit. From what I could see and hear (seeing after the fact, hearing during) the second vehicle took off, but the first vehicle had already been disabled and two people shot, because that took place outside my place and spencers place (we live next door with one house inbetween). I am right on the corner of Aquiles Serdán and Hidalgo. I never heard any sirens, only one right before the shooting started. I am going to believe it wasn't a real cop, because I haven't seen any mention of a cop shot, even though the person was wearing a cop uniform. Also, the cops standing around him later were laughing and joking and poking at him. I can't believe they would do that to their own in a situation like this.
From what I could tell, peeking out my window, they found one guy up in the hills across the street. When they were searching over there, and were on the top of the building across the street, it really freaked me out because they were shining lights into my place. My curtains had been open during the whole shootout, so I never closed them, didn't want to draw attention to them that someone was home.

There are large bullet holes on the outside of my balcony and my upstairs neighbor's balcony. I'm very thankful that somehow they missed the space in between containing my windows.

If one of our cops were killed, wouldn't we be having a funeral about now????

We're all thankful that they missed your windows 007.

btw, when I went and checked out the bullet holes in Intercasa's home/office, the gentlemen discussing things outside about last night sure talked allot about the abogado...kept asking me if I was there to talk to the abogado? (not if he's busy) Glad you have work coming in Intercasa!

The guy shot was a fake cop even though he had a police vest as told to me by the police. I saw much of it but at night it was hard to tell what was really going on as they all looked the same (people shooting at each other at night) and my info is from the police at scene last night and personal observations. Crazy stuff but from all the stories seemed to be random and not particular to the area or likely to occur again.

my question came up after reading your post on TOB,
Chatted with the cops and nobody knows anything, I saw but really didn't know who was who so I can't say more than there was a shootout.

intense pictures from last night, including the restaurant.

Amazing! The article states,
En ese momento, los hombres armados lanzaron una granada, pero ésta les cayó a ellos mismos y estalló, lesionando a los cuatro que se resistían a ser detenidos, quienes sufrieron heridas graves.

They threw the grenade but it fell on themselves. I definitely have some thoughts about this.

A Google translation of part of an article in INFORMADOR:

"Battle between cartels

- After the capture of several criminal cells, the breakdown and division of the criminal organization calling itself "The Resistance", some allied with "Knights Templar" in Michoacan and elsewhere with "Los Zetas" has prompted a clash between rival gangs that certain regions are vying for control of the entity from the sale of narcotics.

-Such is the case of municipalities in the Cienega de Jalisco region, as Tizapán El Alto, Tuxcueca, Jocotepec, Ocotlan Jamay, Atotonilco El Alto, Degollado, La Barca and Chapala, among other municipalities, with the Lake Chapala's most coveted antagonistic groups of drug trafficking, specifically the mergers "The Knights Templar-resistance" against "Resistance-Los Zetas."

I had just fallen asleep last night and heard lots of voices outside my window. The cops decided that 1am was a good time to measure things and check out the bullet holes in the area. They were there for a good hour, and noisy. I wonder if I'll ever sleep peacefully again.

My cat is still not back to normal. :( poor thing is very scared.

Upon further inspection of my balcony, I was really lucky that the walls are as thick as they are on my building. There is a huge bullet hole on the outside of my bedroom wall, where I was.

I'll say you were lucky. With all those bullets flying I think I would have been under the bed.
