Those that don't take precautions seriously certainly have and will. My daughter is a flight attendant and they are pretty much wearing hazmat suits now.

Regarding the cashiers, IMO, the most lethal part of the shopping transaction there is standing arms length from the unmasked/ungloved cashier for the 3 or 4 mins it takes to pay. So, it's not just about the cashiers but about us all being exposed to them as well.

well there is a simple solution to that, wear masks and gloves or do not go shopping..

And exactly how often am I supposed to turn to the people behind me in line and tell them to stand back? So far, every single time. No one listens much. I go out once a week. No one has learned anything, it seems.

Next time I find my self in that situation and in my mask and gloves, CG, I'm going to turn around, establish eye contact, and go into a loud coughing fit in every direction. And I won't stop until I see them running for the exits!

It works! I have seasonal allergies and this is the season. Went to Soriana Monday. I saw a man turn into the aisle I was in just as I got a coughing fit. He stopped on a dime, backed up, and went in the opposite direction. At check out, I had another coughing fit. The two people behind me in line simultaneously backed up a couple feet even though they were not crowding me or each other.

I have COPD and allergies. It's jacaranda season. In Walmart you can hear me hacking from the next aisle. starting to get more personal space. dislike that experience now

I also wear my oxygen concentrater when I go out shopping, it is for my allergies, but people see me and shy away, I wonder if I cough will they run out of store, I will try that next time...
