Just saw on FB. Authorities JUST declared no liquor sales in Chapala, Ajijic. say it isn't so.

No liquor in Joco either. Costco told me they can sell since it is a private membership club. Vamos a ver.

Someone on the other board says because of increased domestic violence in the shutdown. I can certainly understand that but, then, I've always considered booze to be over rated and too expensive. I won't get into the detrimental health aspects of drinking because you can google them. The main one (for me) is the impact on the quality of sleep. I've got better things to do with my money.

People who want to drink will find a way to buy it..I lived in a dry county in Alabama where there was plenty of drinking problems..

In Ontario, the LCBO and the Beer Store are considered essential. The Marijuana stores are not. So by deduction, Pot smokers are peaceful by nature. Very Happy

While people are sitting around the house now would be a good time to take up a hobby. I always enjoyed homebrewing beer. I wasn't very good at it but I had fun. A basic kit is little more than a couple of five gallon plastic buckets, a couple cases of empty beer bottles (caguamas or growlers with screw tops work), a small funnel and a thermometer. Some hops, some yeast and some extract (save all grain brewing for your next batch) and you're good to go. As with any hobby the sky can be the limit. There are a few homebrew suppliers in Guadalajara. drunk
