Intercam Bank

I searched and couldn't find an answer to this.

When I come down in December I want to open a bank account Lakeside so I can pay my utility bills for my house in San Nicolas from Canada.
Yes I have a temp res visa and own my house. I know what I need to show a bank but not sure which bank to use. I have heard that Intercam is good but I thought I would ask the very knowledgeable people here.

FYI I pay my Telcel online but most of the time it takes multiple attempts. CFE is not much better. Simapa can't do.

Highly recommended and I know banks, after living in this area 40 years and having multiple businesses. It would be my first choice.
Two branches in Ajijic, the closest to San Nicolas.

I just want a bank account so I can pay bills online from Canada. I use an ATM for cash from my Canadian bank account.

Telcel, CFE, Simapa Telcel takes multiple tries as does CFE and of course Simapa you can't pay online.

For paying my gardener/handyman I use Xoom which works great.

I use Intercam and pay CFE & Telmex from my account; easy to set up; you need to tell them that you will be doing online banking. They have high security for internet banking and use an electronic token.

Those electronic tokens can be a real drag when out of the country. One friend realized that his wasn't in his carry-on bag when he got to Canada- he figured he dropped it, or it fell out of the bag when going through airport security. Another friend had hers die when up north- the battery eventually gives out and the batteries aren't replaceable (which is ridiculous), so both of those people were unable to access their online banking at all when out of the country.
So always have a back-up plan for paying those bills.
