New Bakery/Coffee Shop in Ajijic
SAVTA is its name.
In the small strip of shops on Guadalupe Victoria, just behind Farmacia Guadalajara.
Tried their chia bagel, cinnamon roll and sweet cardamom roll. All his bakes have a crunchy crust, but tender on the inside. Items were super-sized and very tasty. Had a lot of baguettes and other items on display as well.
Personable owner; baking is done on premises.

Hi, we're new here, so hearing about places is very helpful, and I appreciate the heads up about this new place. We'll check it out. Thanks!

I went there a few days ago and bought a loaf of their sourdough bread.
Big, beautiful loaf without too many "holes". The pastries looked good, too. Parking next to the bakery for a few cars, plus street parking.

I love sourdough bread but only when it's fresh. I'd honestly go every single day for a SMALL cob of sourdough. The only other place that used to have small cobs was the French Bakery in West Ajijic and I don't know if they still do.

I'm with you about "fresh". We have found that it freezes well, too.
I just made French toast with the latest loaf from the new bakey and it was more "substantial" and flavorful than the variety we were buying at Pancho's...which is good, too.

It freezes but loses the crispy crust when thawing.
