I'm glad I live in Jalisco and not the state of Mexico. Alfaro, imho, has done a reasonable job of keeping a lid on it. He bucked the system early and we are lucky.
Locally, you can add to that, 1) most of us are taking serious personal precautions, 2) everything is about 10 minutes away 3) lots of online shopping options including food and medication delivery 4) SUN, GLORIOUS SUN AND WARMTH.
Yup, doin' fine.

SUN, GLORIOUS SUN AND WARMTH.

We are stuck here in Oklahoma until my wife gets her covid vaccine, hopefully in February. We are receiving some of the coldest weather in Oklahoma history. It is not expected to get above freezing for over 2 weeks. What is really bad is every night we receive a freezing fog. Roads are solid ice. Every day I must go and break ice off ponds so cows can drink. This weekend they are predicting snow with Monday and Tuesday temperatures dropping to around 0 degrees F. The ice from the storm is freezing baby calves as they are born. Usually we spend the winter in Chapala, maybe next year. It is a reminder of how lucky we are to have a place in paradise.

Interesting graphic, and I like that they tried to characterize variables that were important. There are serious limitations, first in that they accept government data, which in many cases is either inaccurate or flat out misleading. Second, they apparently did not take into account demographics (like age), or co-morbidity, or travel patterns, all of which are key to other things they did count (like death rates or infectious spread).
Bottom line? Nowhere I'd rather be (than here) in a pandemic and quarantine.
