Fire Lakeside? Empty Fire Lakeside?

Alaskans, and I'm sure most Canadians, are obsessed with the weather. I check the Lakeside weather almost daily and noticed some smoke over the lake yesterday and today.
Farmers burning crops or hillside fire?

The Primavera Forest on the far side of Guadalajara has some fires and the smoke is blowing over here.

I don't what forest you can see from the dry lake, but coming back on Sunday the hills to the west were ablaze beyond the mountains. Huge fires, obviously, because the smoke was reflecting red. And it went on for miles. So some of our haze and Guad's is from those fires.
