Airport. How early arrive

With now required paperwork how early to arrive before flight.

I would arrive at least 2 hours for domestic and 3 hours for international. I was there on Saturday picking up my daughter and the place was absolutely packed. The line ups for check in and security were out the door onto the sidewalk. I'll bet 3 hours was cutting it close for those at the back of the lines. Every parking spot was full both in the parkade and in the outdoor lot. People were parking along side the road and every place they could.

What time were you picking her up? We have 5 a m pick up and 8 a m flight. ?? Have all paperwork in order.

I picked her up at 5pm.
