70% off at Volaris

Until Tuesday.

Just booked two round trip tickets to Puerto Escondido for Oct. 2022 for $1830 pesos all in (just carry-on). Heck of a deal.

I just got similarly good deals flying from Orlando and from GDL to Oaxaca then to Cancun.

BUT.... Volaris is being sneaky. Not mentioned before until one is 'checking out, there is an "Airport Usage Fee" that must be paid. If one declines it, the check out is cancelled.
This fee used to be included in the price of a ticket.... it is paid to the airport.... but one didn't know it as it was just part of the price of a ticket. They go to great links to tell you that 'they' don't get the money... the airport does. And it is NOT a small fee... one of mine was $50!
Anyway be aware that the price you see for a particular flight is gonna be more but they don't tell you that until you are well along with a purchase.

When I booked a regular price ticket to Cancun a couple of months ago this fee was also an add-on at the end of the transaction. I don't think it is new for the 70% off sale but as you pointed out the advertised price looks a lot lower at the beginning.

Volaris anniversary is coming up in March.  Might be worth joining the V Club. They say say the best deals are right after midnight maybe starting 3/11.
