Third Time's the Charm
Once more, we have booked a rental for Sept-Oct 2022. Last two we had to cancel due to a delay in our move to FL 2019 and Covid 2020. Maybe this one will stick.
What are the taxi fees for GDL to Ajijic now? Is it by the trip or by the person?
Hope everyone is healthy and doing well, with some semblance of normality lakeside.

460p taxi fare, daytime a few months ago (goes up at night). I believe it's a flat rate for the taxi as they don't ask how many when you buy the ticket. We've paid that same price for a single and 2 people over the years. Gas going up here, so what the rate will be next September/October...quien sabe?
My impression is that the villagers have treated things as being 'normal' mas or menos all along (right or wrong). Until the s*** hits the fan with deaths or severe illness in their family or neighborhood, which has happened from time to time in Ajijic.
When the cashier at my local frutería wears her mask I know things are on the uptick locally.
Again, as things change, rules change. There has been talk of reducing mask wearing requirements indoors. They have already increased sizes of gatherings for both indoors and outdoors; increased capacities at restaurants and hotels, sporting events.

Third Time's the Charm
Ten months is a long time to go and a lot can change between now and then.
We will have 4 adults total with lots of luggage. Hope the taxi guy has a van. Is a 10% tip appropriate?

PS I love your art piece there Brisbeegal.

There are vans... or small SUVs.... available but they *may* cost more than the 460p mentioned above. I usually give 50 pesos for just me with very little luggage. With 4 people and 'lots of luggage' I would consider giving more but maybe that's just me.
