I am finally returning my TIP vehicle to the US (2 years late).
Any help with the procedure or general advice would be greatly appreciated.

Since your vehicle is in Mexico illegally...for 2 years.... you need to get a document from SAT called Retourno Seguro. Safe Return. After obtaining that you have 5-6 business days to get it to the border, turn in the expired TIP and leave Mexico with the vehicle. Don't do this at your peril as it can be confiscated.
