Costco.com.mx Versus Amazon.com.mx
I am using direct delivery from Costco MX's website more and more as I price compare it to Amazon MX.
Example:
Dixie 10 inch Paper Plates. 186 in a pack (exact same item at both sites)
Amazon.com.mx 799p including free delivery
Costco.com.mx 479p including 50p delivery fee
I ordered the plates from Costco on Saturday and they arrived yesterday (Monday) at Sol y Luna (where I get all my pkgs sent). Can use my US cc at either site.

Does Costco.Mx require a membership?

Yes to register you need a Costco Membership from any country. We've kept our US account with Costco since the 1970s. Mostly use it for US car rentals as they have given us the cheapest rates (and yes, I price shop those too).

Have you researched Kyte Car Rentals?

Kyte is only in 10 cities, none of which are our destination.

A single annual membership for Costco in Mexico is 500p.

Yeah, I checked it out but you have to pick it up at their store in Guadalajara.

Does anyone know if a Costco Mexican membership is 'usable' in the States? Certainly cheaper if 500 pesos is the cost.

Costco membership is valid at all Costcos. I've used my Mexican Costco card in Canada.
And as you get 2 cards with every membership, a friend and I split one, as we're both single. So it only costs us $250/ each.

FYI it did take awhile for them to deal with my Mexican Costco card in the Canadian Costco. I doubt they'd ever seen one before. It wasn't abig deal, but I recall having to go through some customer service deal where they checked out the card or did something on their computer system.

We have used ours regularly in the US and Canada without issue. If you tell the cashier it's a Mexican card, they can make an adjustment at the till that enables them to proceed. I think they have to enter the number 7 before or after the card is scanned.
