A friend here needs a postal address in the USA. I understand that many residents lakeside have PO boxes in Laredo. How can she get such a box from here? Thanks.

She can get one from Sol y Luna in Ajijic or Ishop, or Handy Mail, They are listed in the English Language phonebooks.. listed under mailing services or Mailing and Shipping.

I’ve used Handy Mail for 13 years. Can’t share the box but less expensive than I-Shop where you can share the box. Packages from Amazon can be sent here to their San Antonio Tlayacapan office but you can get magazines sent with other mail to their Laredo, Tx address.

Used Handy Mail for 5 years, but switched to Sol y Luna 6 years ago to avoid adding to traffic on carretera between Ajijic and SAT. Sol y Luna equally good. My advice is to use the one closest to your home. I have all my online purchases from MX retailers sent to Sol y Luna, never any problem. My weekly New Yorker magazines go to their Laredo address, again never a problem.
