It should start soon. It's solidly packed cloud and the birds are ominously quiet this morning. This feels like the calm before the storm.

edited to add: light rain falling in Riberas del Pilar right now.

Rainy season has arrived here in Orange Park FL. We have had afternoon storms 3 of the last 4 days accumulating .5 in of rain. We will have afternoon storms over the next 10 days according to forecasts. About time. This drought has been the pits.

I am visiting AZ and the first monsoonal rain was yesterday.  1.17 inches in SW Tucson though other neighborhoods got 2+ inches.  Torrential rain and high winds in a 2 hour period.

The monsoon cycle starts in Mexico then makes its way up to the US Southwest.
