Rumor - 4 women abducted in Joco

My maid just arrived and said she heard last night that 4 women were abducted in Joco from the prepatoria yesterday during day light. That was all she could relay.

Our maid indicated that there was a sign in Joco stating they wanted to take 50 girls/women. She only heard that 3 were taken. (Rumor?-from our maid??)

Was this sign a warning sign or a threat?

not sure, she just mentioned that here sister had seen a sign. trying to get more out of her. My spanish needs work. LOL She has a large family in Joco and sees/hears alot. Will update as I find out more.

A source I have found reliable in the past said that as of 2 pm today a total of 5 women have been abducted in Joco since yesterday. In daylight. The noticia was posted in the parking lot of the Bodega Aurora -- spray painted on a blanket -- promising to abduct 50 women from Jocotopec unless a jailed cohort was released.

Shit. It continues...I was really hoping...

I also heard today (rumor) of the kidnapping of four young women in Joco which was in retaliation of the two women who are in custody regarding the kidnappings last week. They also said if they didn’t let the two women go they would let’s put it this way use your imagination. Just hope this is a RUMOR.

Rumours, rumours, rumours. Let's let the facts come out in a Mexican newspaper or online.

The fact that a "narco banner" was apparently displayed in the parking lot of the Bodega Aurora lends some credibility to this rumor. At this point, it appears that the "jungle drums" may be the best source of temporary info. You can be assured that if and when the press catches up to this story and provides documentation, links will appear.

When checking various sources, I ran across a story about an ATM being robbed in Jocotepec on Sunday, May 6th but the story wasn't published until the 9th - a very typical delay.

I recall reading in one of the spanish news articles online, that a threat was made by one of the cartels that women and women and children would be next. It was said exactly that way - women and women and children. Of course I did not save the link but I remember it because of the odd phrasing.

I read the same thing. Can't remember the source either. It may have been a link posted on this board yesterday.

There was an email going around Lakeside about this. Spme members of this forum received it too. And there was no credible source that I could see.

Regretfully, some twitters mention the kidnapping of women in Joco. Nothing specific - but enuf rumblings to sound like the problems are real.

I just asked a Mexican female friend that lives in Joco and "they threatened to kidnap 50 women of all the ages" was her answer. Also 3 were taken from Bodega Aurrera

Does not sound like a nice place to live right now
