INBOX ON QuickJump Menu
Maybe I'm going blind, but what happened to the "inbox" selection on the quick jump menu?

On mine, the "inbox" is third up from the bottom. It is there right now.

On mine, third from the bottom is "member list". There is no inbox.

Here is what I see using Firefox. Maybe it loads differently in a different browser?

Re: INBOX ON QuickJump Menu
It is 3rd from the bottom on mine. I use Explorer. Maybe a re-boot would solve your issues. BTW..... there is also an inbox link at the bottom of the page.
Re: INBOX ON QuickJump Menu
I tested it if you are logged off the inbox disapears from the list. Relog back
on and it comes back. Don't assume you are logged on.

I did a re-boot. No change. I'll just use the bottom of the page link. Thanks.

My assumption of being logged on is that the Octagon is available. Now, dumb question........where do you log OFF on here, amigo?

Given your list, it doesn't appear that you have the log off option like those of us seeing the full Quick Jump Menu.

No, it doesn't have a log off option on the menu. You mean I've wandered into an alternative forum and am trapped here forever?

It doesn't have either log on OR log off on your quick jump menu??
If not time for the Twilight Zone theme. Do do do do ....Do do do do
Try an alternative web browser. If you are using IE use Chrome or Firefox or Opera and see if it does the same thing.

Zed: No log on or log off, though I'm guessing there wouldn't be a log on if you were already on?
do do do do............
I use Firefox since the resident techie put me there on the assertion that IE wasn't the best. (In case you're wondering........he's off in graphics land most of the time and I try to leave him be unless my machine crashes altogether.)

Try to download google Chrome and see if it does the same thing. Bet it won't???!! This won't hurt your other program just remember to not make it your
home page and stuff like that. IE and Chrome display things correctly. Commercial: While many folks hate MS and hate IE it actually has grown into a very
good secure program contrary to what folks say. All these programs have bugs nature of too many forks in programming these days. It is impossible to
test enough. I like IE9 very much once you get use to the concept much better than Chrome.

Zed,
Just checked out IE 9 in a search. Good ratings from the software people: lousy (2 to 3, max) user ratings. Hmmm? I think I'll pester the resident techie before continuing my search for truth and enlightenment. Thanks for the suggestion.

Chrome is small and easy to install just don't let it take over from your browser. Come grab me at LCS some morning and I can load it without harming your
other browser. I think we are at the point of trying other browsers for this problem. What is your operating system? XP, windows 7, vista???

Grin, check your pm. This happens if you increase font size or screen magnifier(e.g. 125%) many times.

You win the wierd award dear. I have no idea and you have no idea how hard
that is for me to say. Other person did say something interesting about zooming.
If you have a wheeled mouse and you push the crtl key and move the wheel you
can zoom in and out. Now try that carefully and see if the menu changes. Sometimes
you can't zoom depending on a lot of other stuff but It is an interesting idea.

Re: INBOX ON QuickJump Menu
Eduardo gets the grand prize: I zoomed out; got smaller print and lo and behold: both the "log out" and "inbox" magically reappeared.
I had zoomed to larger print after the eye surgery; can't see spit yet; so now I'll go back to larger and at least know what happened.

Actually it means it is Microsofts bug rather than a browser bug. If it were a browser bug it probably
wouldn't do it on two different browser.
Yea Eduardo

Here is my $50,000USD support store from 1988. We had these very expensive engineering computers
which we supported. We got a call one day that my computer won't boot up so we figured it out that
her boot disk went bad as this was before Hard drives and mailed here new ones. All well right? Well
no she called again same thing this went on for weeks until we got permission to go to her work and
try to figure it out.
We get there we ask her to do what she normally does. She takes the floppy out of our hand puts it
in the drive boots it up and we ask her to do what she does at the end of the day. Well she shuts down
the computer takes the 5.25 floppy puts it on the side of her metal file cabinet and puts a magnet on
it to hold it to the file cabinet.
For the folks who don't know thats why they have the big no magnet signs on early floppies. We spent
50K on her and lord we felt stupid but who would think somebody would do that especially engineers.
We did something like it 10 years later assuming the position of null for a dip switch. I only spent 10K
on that one but I felt just as stupid. Hardware choices are limitied and I can try most combinations.
Programmers can never these days test every fork in there program and thats why software has bugs
lots of em.
