Why don´t you proudly claim what you are saying and write it so everyone can understand? Oh, that´s right. Then it will go into the Octagon where it belongs.

x is pronounced sh in tzotzil so the correct way to spell posh is pox.
That is the way the Mol cholobil kóp ta sotz´leb or recognized tztozil dictionary spells it.
Thanks for pointing this out, there is a new pox place on the andador that spells posh with an x and I bet you that my dear husband has learned the correct spelling down there!!

Oh, right, I have no sense of humor. You were just being "funny." You know as well as I do that what you wrote belongs in the Octagon where there are no holds barred--not in the Mirador where we try to keep things civilized.

All personalities and sniping aside.....ha....HAHAHAHA!.... when we first moved here from the US we immediately adapted the Mexican comida style of eating big between 2 and 4pm. For us it was really easy. It took a little adjusting, but that was it. For me, it's a little something for breakfast, maybe juice and cereal. Then another little something around noon....maybe a fruit smoothie, or a granola bar, or piece of fruit. Then the big meal. Then at night, almost nothing. Maybe some popcorn, or a dessert!, or whatever. Works really well.

Try it. You might like it.

An amusing line, anyway, but did your really mean posh, when you wrote pox?

Well, CHILLIN, as you may now understand if you read the post regarding pox entered by my wife, as Yosemite Sam said to the camel ( When I say whoa, Camel, I mean whoa) , when I said pox I meant pox and to the best of my knowledge there is no drink down here in Chiapas known as posh. As far as my having learned how to properly spell this local white lightning enjoyed by patrons in San Cristobal at that pox bar on the andador as inferred by my wife, that new pox bar, actually primarily patronized by tourists rather than local indigenous folks, does serve a variety of pox products from the purest pox distilled at both 38 Percent and 70 Percent alcohol (that latter concoction would be a 140 Proof mind bender) along with fruit infused pox of lesser strengths. I only tried the 38 Percent pure unadulterated pox. Had I tried the 70 Percent Pox I would probably have walked out of there at least temporiarily speaking fluent Tzotzil just before taking a nose dive on the street. However you spell it, this stuff is not to be taken lightly nor ever consumed when provided by unknown street vendors of dubious character.

Your biggest meal should be breakfast, then lunch, then dinner being the smallest and certainly not just before you hit the hay. Being that Mexico has one of the highest rates of diabetes and a growing obesity concern I wouldn't follow any of those traditions.

Over the past 65 years of life, I think I've seen every combination being labeled as "healthy" or "unhealthy". When I was in grade school we had a "food pyramid", it changed a few years later. Eggs were good, then bad, now good again. You were supposed to eat a good breakfast and a light dinner at one point. Red meat was bad but sure tastes good to me.

I've noticed that no matter what you do, you end up dead eventually.

I went to a doctor and he was all over me for smoking. He said quite sternly "If you don't quit smoking you are going to die" so I asked "If I do quit smoking will I become immortal". When he said "no", I told him I wasn't going to quit smoking.

I eat when I get hungry and I eat what I like. I may not live forever but a good meal is more important to me than living forever.

Universal health care won't do a bit of good if people don't also take care of themselves. Also, citing the United States statistics as a whole is not meaningful since there is are vast regional differences in health problems. I'm guessing the figures for Oregonians are different from those for Mississippians, for example.

"Life Expectancy vs. Universal Healthcare
Is there a correlation between Life Expectancy and Universal Healthcare?

The below list shows Life Expectancy for each contry in the world. The list is sorted by Life Expectancy (number of years). The longer you are expected to live in a given country, the higher on the list the country will be. The life expectancy is highest in Monaco (89.73 years) and it is lowest in Angola. (38.76 years)

The countries listed in red have universal healthcare and the contries list in black does not have universal healthcare.

Can you see a correlation or relationship between Life Expectancy and Universal Healthcare?

Above is a partial list from 2011. Full list can be viewed:

Do you think there are no regional difference in other countries? The main difference with Europe ,some of the Asian countries and the US is the access to affordable heath especially for young mothers and childrens.
