Old paint & Oil recycling?

Is there a place around to get rid of old paint and/or used oil? Or do you just leave it on the curb for the recycling guys?

If the paint is still" paintable" donate to the anti- graffiti group. If it isn't and it's latex I think the local guys can take it.
Check with a local mechanic for recycling the oil. I think my husband used to take it to Escalera's.

If the latex paint is useless you can put it out on some newspapers (someplace safe away from your dogs) and let it dry out and throw
in the trashcan.
