100% Black Angus burger - 39 pesos

Thanks for posting this and reminding me of the fun time we had last week....
Friends and I went Thursday to check it out and we very pleasantly surprised!
Luis, our host was attentive, listened and served each burger cooked to everyone's specification. The fries and onion rings were hot, crisp and real!
We all agreed it was one of the best, if not the best, burger we've had lakeside!

I agree! I was pleased and delighted with the burger, fries and onion rings. When four people order burgers cooked three different ways, I never expect that to actually happen. Luis did it!
You can sit at the bar or one of the few tables downstairs and chat with Luis if you want. Otherwise, tell him you want to eat upstairs which offers a great view of the soccer field and its busy little corner in a wonderful Chapala neighborhood. The room is open on two sides so wear warm clothing if it is a cool day.
We had gone specifically for those burgers but will be returning to try some of the other items on his menu. Well, maybe after we have the burgers a couple more times.
If you are on the hunt for Lakeside´s best burger, you need to give Tomas´ a try. It is at least a contender for that honor.

I barely get one of those puppies down.  Luis said lots of folks have to take half of their burger home.  Whereas a friend of mine goes early each day and has his burger, then returns later in the afternoon (after his siesta) and gets a second one!  He's done that ever since the special started weeks ago.  Regardless, it is definitely a healthy-size & tasty morsel...........  

Okay, THAT is impressive! I do eat a whole burger along with shared french fries and onion rings--and that is my one meal for the day.

Wife and I had 1 burger and onion rings, awesome, couldn't finish it!!

Okay, that does it. I am going there for lunch tomorrow. I was going to skip this week but now I can´t.

OK. You've got my attention....now where is the Chapala futbol stadium so I can find the restaurant???

If you are heading north on the main street toward Soriana´s the futbol field is on your left. You need to make a u-turn just before the Pemex station and turn right on the street running alongside the field. Bar Tomas is at the first corner.

Burgers are served Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only.

Have been having them since he started with this. I am not a big eater of beef but these burgers are delicious.
