Coming from NoB sometime soon? Could you bring some small things?

We have somethings that are important to us which we would like to have come to Ajijic in the near future. They are such that you would want to have them with you in your carry on because its likely TSA would steal them. Or if you are driving that would be okay too. They won't weigh a lot, about 5 pounds. We have been without these for several years and would like to have them for the holidays. We don't expect to go north until next summer. Of course we will hold the person bringing them harmless but the items should be fine in a carry on or vehicle.
