Pizza Update?

Looks like another pizza run is called for. Almost did yesterday but Bruno´s mesquite burger was screaming my name. Oh lordy, what a decision!

The word is getting out. Perry had 30 customers yesterday, and sold 10 pizzas!

Just tried Perry's pizza for the first time last night.
It lived up to my expectations.

I was there today and am now in a pleasure coma for the rest of the afternoon. So very, very good.
While we were there a couple came in to try both the fish and chips and the pizza. They were very happy with both.
His comment to his wife about the pizza, "if I ever end up on death row, I want this to be on the list for my last meal."

What a hoot! But we don't have the death penalty in Wisconsin, so we'll have to wait to return to Ajijic (now, *that* didn't come out the way I meant it to be).

BTW, mine is the only review of Perry's ("Perry's Fish & Chips") on www.tripadvisor.com, so your review will certainly be helpful to those who use the site for recommendations.

I, for one, will not be trying Perry's pizza.  He hired a Mexican friend of mine to create the wood fired pizza oven that he is bragging about. During construction for some reason he decided to stop the project. My friend offered to redo the project to Perry's liking but Perry told him to leave and wouldn't allow my friend to fix the problem.  Perry owes my friend 6000 pesos.

I have since heard that he tried  to do a similar thing to an ironworker that he owed money to.  But after several months he ended up paying the iron worker.

I will not be patronizing this business.  

I must admit that I have heard only one side of this but perhaps Perry can explain his actions.

I for one will not judge a situation after hearing one side second hand.
It might have been better for you to talk with Perry just as you talked to your friend and presented both sides publicly along with your opinion.

I agree, best to know the whole story before you publically slam a guy and his business.

 Don't mention who the Mexican friend is...I saw the oven.  Best to stay out of it.

We're in Wisconsin, "enjoying" the -20F wind chill this morning. Has anyone recently had a pizza at Perry's?

We have pizza most Friday nights. Perry's is still the best for us.
When I go to pick it up there are usually a few other people picking up as well.
He is thinking about opening a second location to handle the pizza business.
I wish him luck.

Thanks for info, zenwoodle. Glad to hear that Perry's hanging in there, and maybe expanding. Is it to a new/old bar just to the west of the Plaza?
