I said rainy season will start June 12, last night, started here in SAT with lightening, thunder and all night downpour. Cloudy and misty this morning too. . .rainy season has started! Now, what do I win?

Nice try Trailrunner but no mop. Obviously the rainy season hasn't started because my gardener said it wouldn't until the evening of the 14th and he knows everything. After all, his family has lived lakeside since Mexico broke away from the Pangea super continent.

Me too, I belatedly posted yesterday late morning that it would rain last night. The 12 is usually a winning date. Many Mexicans say the 13th which coincides with the end of the fiestas in San Antonio.

Started on the 13th. If it started on the 12th there would have been 2 winners, me and Trailrunner as my posting said plus or minus 3 days. Anyone who claims an exact date on which it will rain is full of it. There is NO exact date. I've been here for 11 years and I have seen it rain near July 1.

My best friend says June 9 but I’m for June 12 around midnight. O.K. John it’s time to get more specific. Determining factor is ½ inch recorded at that station by Steve B. whatever.

Wait, wait one moment. The day was the 13th but it should be noted “June 12th around midnight” was the closest time (about 2 hours from the actual beginning) and why, you ask?

Well, if you picked a single day you gave yourself a window of 24 hours, of which I would expect same. So for counting time you need a point of origin, in the above case since no time was stated, in all fairness, then the mean time would be 12 noon, (12 hours before noon and twelve after, keeping within that date.) making anyone guessing on the 13th approximately 10 hours off. Since I actually stated my point of origin, midnight of the 12th, that makes me about 2 hours off.

And the thing about the ½ inch was really just a guess on my part and something I picked-up from TOB, (So you see not my fault, Ha! Ha! Ha!) besides if you go to Steve B. board it states “Welcome to the rainy season.

I’ll take a multi-colored one please.

BTW, John should be slightly embarrassed thinking his less than stellar commitment would actually count. If we had all expected the same, most of us would have won. It’s like going to races and picking the horse that placed fifth and expecting a pay-off.
