As long as "I've been around", you would think I would speak that better too....as well as English.

As Viajero will find out...age is no guarantee of improvement. Very Happy

The only live music I ever paid to see was Irish in Ireland and Vancouver (Clancy Bros' & Tommy Makem), and Doug and the Slugs in the Kootenays.

Good on ya' Arbon....used to be a regular at the Irish Pavilion in the Village (Tommy's Place) and caught the Clancy Bros live once in SF in the early 60's. Been to their home town Cahir, Co. Tipperary many times.
Tommy and the Bros. are all dead and gone now...Liam (who Bob Dylan said was the greatest ballad singer ever), was the last to pass on. Bob Clancy's son in now one of the High Kings.
Don't know the other two groups you mentioned, probably Canadian maybe?

Where in Ireland?.....Ennis, Co. Clare is where my father's family is from (the Nashville of Ireland), but Malahide, No. Dublin is my stomping ground now when I'm there.

Ah, Dough and the Slugs. One of the best, most interesting pop bands ever. Saw them perform once. They were right up there with The Powder Blues in terms of sheer energy. And both Canadian bands.
