The bad part about Nafta was the pig issue.  Mexicans use to keep pigs to raise cash for taxes, insurance, school costs. After Nafta because of cheap US imports the pig business for an individual  became unprofitable compared to before Nafta.  The US was accused of dumping Pork in
Mexico. Not sure where this went if it went anywhere at all. Other than changing agriculture issues I do think Mexico has gained more than lost
with the treaty.
