Tecoluta futbol escuela

After a significant setback with the untimely death of Giovanni, the school at Tecoluta is rolling again.
These were the kids who were at the field on Friday



There are two groups. The minis and the juniors. They have very little equipment, but a lot of enthusiasm.
We can help them with the equipment portion, and our support will help to keep their enthusiasm going.
I am (once again) asking for support of a financial nature to get this school on their feet.
Phil and I will be going in to Guad on Monday to buy some of the equipment that is needed to keep this dream alive.

The Union Ajijic pony team is still playing and wearing the Inside Lakeside uniforms in a league in San Juan Cosala.

We came up big for the the kids before. I hope we can do it again.

Union Ajijic play all their games in San Juan Cosala now.

The kids from Tecoluta play their home games at the Cruz Azul field (the one on Revolucion near the Carretera).
They are playing in Ixtlahuacan this Sunday, and hopefully will be home the following Sunday.
Once I have the complete schedule I will post it here, and I hope we can get some people out to cheer the teams on.
If you can not come to the game, I will come to you to collect money.

Why is the Ajijic team playing all their games in another town? Field not available here now?

Yes. Why are you concerned about this? Since I'm not perfect like you apparently are, I didn't make the connection that this is only one of the Union squads.

Telling other people that one donated makes more money for the kids that's why we post the fact that we donate and how much. Nope you don't have to that's for sure but it makes more money for the kids so why not?  Whether you like MC or not the facts say he is a good supporter of kids futbal locally and that is what this is about right now and here.

Thank you Zed. And this entire community should thank Zen and Phil for this effort.

I suspect the great photo is by Phil. These soccer kids are a joy to be around and to watch and you can't overestimate the value of something like this to provide positive experiences and direction.

I think it is time we got TOB involved so have started a thread there. If Phil or Zen want to insert a direct contact, let me know. Otherwise, I've told them to PM me and I'll forward to you guys.

The kids can use more help than this board can supply so why not.

Just got back from the shopping trip. We bought lots of needed equipment, and will be presenting to the kids at Tecoluta field at about 7:00 tonight.
I can actually feel the dent in my wallet.

Lots of smiling faces and excited kids at the field tonight.

Ivan et al deserve huge thanks for what they have done for these kids. After seeing this picture we upped the ante but they are still way short of the cost of all that equipment. I urge everyone here to find some pesos to invest in this very worth while effort and give Ivan, Phil and the others a big thank you when you see them.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you on behalf of the kids and coaches (and me).
As you can see from the picture above, we bought lots of equipment in one trip (I learned from the last times).
I will try to keep you informed of the games, and hope to see you out there.
