La Nueva Posada in Ajijic

Back for more CFC--Chicken Fried Chicken.  Man, what a huge plate of happiness.  Really crunch bits on the edges...like those little cracklins at Long John Silver.  The Chicken Curry special was surprisingly and pleasantly picante...wonderful soft mango pieces in it, and served with some peanuts on the side.

For newbies I took pictures of the grounds and water view as well.

Open breakfast and lunch, but sadly not dinner as it closes at 5).

It is just as I remember it, but sad they do not do dinner anymore. My wife and I are not picante fans and hope they still have non-picante dishes to enjoy.

Well Roy if you are a fan of chicken fried chicken with thick white gravy they have the best. It is not hot at all.

My Mexican son-in-law taught me a subtle difference in Spanish terminology. He said that "picante" means spicy, but not necessarily hot. It can refer to any heavily spiced dish. "Picoso" indicates that it is hot spicy.

A new Spanish word for me. Thanks.

I overlook this place far too often.

Chicken curry salad with side of chutney.  Strong curry flavor. So big I took half home.

Arrachera sandwich.  Lots of steak!  Good grilled flavor.

Went at least once each week when we lived there. One of our favs.
