La Ancla closed on Wednesday?

Google says La Ancla open every day 10 a m. We went on Wednesday about noon. All closed up. Are they closed or on vacation??

It is closed on Wednesday and there is a sign in english and spanish stating that.

We pulled up and saw they were closed but failed to look closer for the sign.

fyi, it's El Ancla.

Nouns beginning with "a" where the 'a' (or beginning with 'ha') is the stressed syllable are treated as masculine.

el agua = water
el ancla = anchor
el alma = soul
el hada = fairy
el águila = eagle
el ascua = ember
el arma = weapon
el hambre = hunger / famine

Suggestion:  Look at their sign!

And then there are those "exceptions to the rules" like el dia

Y hoy, el clima trae el agua.

There is a well known restaurant in Zapopan, La Tequila. And I always thought that it should be El Tequila. Both are correct depending context.

"i" before "e" except after "c" or when sounding like "a" as in Neighbor or Weigh.

The word aleta has its stress on 2nd syllable.  From Spanish Dict online, a le' ta.  Words starting with 'a' or 'ha' are masculine if leading syllable is stressed.  

I saw this on a site, "If you are talking about just one its El ala, but in plural is Las alas"
