At various events in Mexico you will see Jack Daniels and Heradura promoted side by side. e.g. the Lorena Ochoa Invitational LPGA Tournament each November held at Guadalajara CC. This is an event the Dawg should attend because on Wednesday, the Pro-Am day, Heradura will pour as much of his favorite tequila in Riedel crystal glasses as the Dawg wishes. Sin cargo.

Herradura and JD were together at the water ski event as well.

Casa Cofradia has two factory stores in Tlaquepaque that carry a wide representation of their products. Last January, these stores were having a promotion - buy 1 bottle at full price and then the 2nd bottle at half price. We did better purchasing two bottles from them than the prices quoted at the distillery.

In January of 2011, there were 145 Tequila companies producing a total of 1234 brands and it would be a safe bet that those numbers have increased proportionately in the last two years. The US has been a large consumer of blended Tequilas but the percentage of 100% Tequila has been rising every year and they project an 80% increase between 2011 and 2016.
