Cases In Ajijic of Corona Virus?

There’s already over 1300 confirmed cases in USA. They just don’t want to become overwhelmed like Italy is.

Read where the ban does not apply to American citizens who have been traveling in Europe, just the foreign nationals. WHAT?!? If true that makes no sense at all. If he had shut down the country when there were just 15 cases maybe that would make sense but, sweetie, that ship has already sailed. Too little too late. Now he is just throwing money at it, taxpayer money. And what was with him, all that snorting and snuffling, eyes at half mast. Did they have to drug him to keep him on script?

2020 is going to be a terrible year for everyone. And yes Mexico does not have the medical infrastructure to handle the outbreak which is probably already here.

Agree with the docs, probably more than 8, or whatever number the press is currently reporting, cases here in MX. Not sure about medical infrastructure and not sure AMLO can handle and manage an outbreak of size.

Let's talk local. We do get, and already have, large numbers of people from other countries arriving daily. And many residents here go back and forth often. Seems the virus could easily get introduced into our community. Seems self-quarantine would be a pretty good idea.

If we do start getting diagnosed cases needing hospitalization, I would guess initially the pts would be scattered around the facilities into isolation wards. If those wards became overwhelmed, I would guess they might turn a building in Guad into an isolation facility.

I think we have the warm climate going for us. I think MX did pretty well with the swine flu. Not sure adequate medicines would always be available. Doubt many home healthcare providers would want to respond. I'm afraid rural Mexico could take a pretty big hit due to the custom of families taking care of sick members at home and limited medical care but they may have their remoteness in their favor.

Wash hands frequently, self-quarantine, and put your energy into avoiding exposure seem to be the best ideas, right?

How about Alex Azar and Pence? All they want to do is promote Trump’s image. They don’t answer questions coherently. Every other sentence is a repetition of how great a job Trumpis doing.

Trumps approval rating is 42.3% at the moment and falling....perhaps a greater power is at work here. Let's hope the buffoon keeps having large tightly packed rallies.

DJIA is only 1400 points above the day when Trump became president. His pride has always been the booming stock market. His re-election chances are getting dimmer.

And every time he opens his mouth now it drops another 1000 points.

Getting back to the original topic we probably need to discuss a community care plan. Things such as the younger healthy folks picking up groceries and what not for the sick and isolated.

I think I am healthy enough to get through a dose of covid 19 and will be available to help those in need. I'm not a good nurse but can certainly pick up supplies, etc.
