Re: Rain
I enjoyed watching MC running this contest. I hope he runs it again. Of course if Slainte39 entered it, he would probably win. Why, because he's been around here longer than most of us, and I hate to admit it, but he has got a darn good memory compared to me :)

Chula Vista .84 inch on May 5, 1.46 on May 6, can feel the barometer pressure shifting big time..So tonights the night.. if that thunder I just heard means anything.. criteria met. Just in time to keep people inside ~

Yes, I just heard the thunder here in upper west Ajijic. Here's hoping we get more. It would be really nice this year if we could fill up the lake again like two years ago.

Re: Rain
I guess the rainy season has started 5 weeks earlier this year . . .

Re: Rain
It's been raining hard in Riberas for an hour. That's three days in a row for me. YMMV.
It may indicate an early rainy season or just be an unusual blip. However, considering how dry the hills were, I'm gonna be grateful anyway for tamping down the dust, soaking the hills and giving everywhere a good bath... and cooling everything down too.

Not yet. A bit of a sunset in El Chante and a rainbow coming up from Mt. Garcia

According to Maincoons the rainy season officially starts when he goddamn well says it does. And not until. Those are the rules.

Mainecoons importance is a figment of his own imagination... just like Trump.

Does it really make a lot of difference? Official start? Why don´t we just say, we got 3 days of rain and just wait for the next one?
For something as common as rain, this has really gotten hung up on "semantics". The next rain might be 1 day, 10 days, or 30 days, who knows?
I know we have received 7 to 14 days of ground soil water for plants that are not normally irrigated.

It never was when it comes to predicting the so called rainy season, first rain, total rainfall for the year, etc., etc.
You take the rain as it comes and all the predicting in the world doesn´t change the reality of what you get.

TR...….I´m ready to over this rain conundrum.
Why is it so difficult to just enjoy "the rain" and a break in the dry, hot weather? It´s like we are trying to solve the riddle of the universe.

Many of us didn't get 3 days of rain. No rain yesterday or last night near Jocotepec.
