To add: although I said most people I know have had Covid despite taking precautions, that's not entirely true. They mostly did take precautions but let their guard down at some point, and knew exactly where they contracted it. For instance, a couple I know in Canada had been very careful and wore masks in public up until one summer night when they went to a dance. They were dancing outside the venue, in the fresh air, but the ground was uneven and she almost took a tumble, so they moved inside, but stayed right next to the open door. Before they knew it, they found themselves in the midst of people dancing, breathing hard, of course. After a short while, they were getting quite nervous about it and left. The next day, they both came down with Covid. They are my age, early seventies , were both pretty ill, and they were still feeling quite fatigued a month later when I saw them in Canada.

Except there are still thousands of people a week dying of Covid. And there's the spectre of long Covid.

I stand corrected. In SOME parts of the world, things are better. I still think that vaccination and boosters have helped tremendously. We are also lucky that, here, we are not trapped inside because it's either too hot or too cold to have windows open with good circulation of air. The website that used to publish worldwide stats is no longer functional. Anyone come across a new one with that information?

That is a huge factor, IMO. Viral load is one of the determinants in contracting the virus. Even when Covid was raging and I was being super cautious, I never really worried about visiting outside with family and friends. Like anything else in the air, it is going to dissipate outside much more than inside, unless you're st some outside event like a rock concert, with people all crammed together. Also UV light deactivates the virus.

Me and my wife are Vax free and never got covid.... Or the flu but for the last 2 years the flu seems to have disappeared. Only wore masks when I had too. Never avoided going out. Heck drove across 4 us states and all the way to Lake Chapala on Oct of 2021 and not a problem. Not sure why some still are trying to fear monger on this. But hey freedom of peach and all. I enjoy reading the daily fear report and watching a very small group here wear masks outside and in a car when they are alone. Free comedy shows are always appreciated.

All those people dying in hospitals, I dont know what the hell they were doing there. They were probably just dying to get free hospital care.

Ohhh look more fear fear. I don't know anyone who has been in a hospital due to covid. And I have a very large group of people I keep up with. All of my old employees keep up with me over the years. Plus my personal friends and family (which is above avg in size).

Never will regret not getting the Vax. And if the Vax worked you wouldn't care if I didn't get it. Why not let people choose? I don't care if you got the Vax please give me and others like me the same respect.

I worked all my life in critical care. I live close to two hospitals where they were offering 90 dollars an hour to nurses willing to work due to the overload. A local hotel was full of contract nurses coming to work to fill in.
Have you always been this stupid? You must get your medications adjusted. They don’t seem to be working.
