Absolutely, huge and prominent Joco family. Very sad. Joco has certainly had some sad times over the last few years.

Maybe this tradition started in Alabama and the Dawg can furnish the history of this practice? Anyone else out there with any theories?
This was not a big man, let's hold speculation, as I was there when he was wheeled in. I am saddened they closed their business.....they provided great service at a quality price!
Then probably not Oscar, because he is a pretty hefty guy. It is my understanding that the whole family has had to leave. Most of Jocotepec is involved or related to the family; some even speculate the town was built around the family.

Ya got me totally confused......you are saying the man that arrived @ Cruz Roja with severed finger, beat up kidnapped wasn't Oscar, from the tire store? Their were 2 kidnappings, both treated @ Cruz Roja Thursday around noon...with missing fingers?
Thank Gawd this is under Rumors! Smokealot BTW HelperGuy, I confirmed with Dr. Sam @ Cruz Roja that the individual was in fact the victim from the tire store.

Okay, then Oscar lost a lot of weight. I certainly didn't see what you saw, but I buy tires from him and get my oil changed there, and have been for a few years, so I know him pretty well.

Apparently Joco has had quite a bit of bad luck according to rumours I heard this weekend. Allegedly big goings on during the carnival, and a couple of bodies. All speculation at this point, however I won't be hanging around over there at all for a while.

One person is no longer going out at night. Period.

I noticed several comments saying Oscar must have pissed-off someone really bad. Why assume that?

It would seem more likely that the kidnappers saw a rich guy(he and his family own several successful stores) and that was the basis of their choice.

Seems logical to me.

It seems more likely to me that you're a troll just perusing old threads.

I think they thought he was ticking them off because he got away. T isn't a troll.
