The show to attract investors locally seems a joke but what isn't funny is how much the cartels have to invest/launder.

I really like their plan for an eco columbarium in GDL. "These polls are biodegradable and will help the mortal Remains of our loved ones to life in the form of a new tree." Seems a little April foolish.

This thing is such a good joke/con/scam. I'm looking for a date to go to the presentation!

So are we all turning up to sing "We shall overcome" or are we dissing this by not going to the meeting? I tend to think that if we ignore them they might go away. Early days yet. Discouraging them by lack of attendance might send a message, like, "We do not think you are serious, surely not, consult a therapist." Or should we consider an intervention? And if we did an intervention, what would it be? Throw out a manikin and shout, "Over this dead body?" (You have surmised correctly than I am a 60's radical, at your service.)

Just from looking at the architect's rendering I think it looks like a pretty nice development,it's got very good feng shui incorporated into the design.

It's go towers! Lakeside is not sufficiently urban so that towers are appropriate IMFHO.

I dont see the space required, from the description and drawing it would take a space larger than where El Dorado is all the way to Walmart and everything in between and unless they buy existing buildings and bulldoze them, there is no vacant land that large anywhere near the lake and Chapala.

Bit of a mystery, isn't it? Perhaps they intend to float the towers over the Lake? One would not propose this complex unless one had the land secured, would one? One cannot but wonder.

Also do you folks know how far down you have to go with a foundation for  buildings like this?? 

Intercasa Does Mexico have eminent domain laws to procure the land if the government wants this to happen?

Another April fools joke, a day early.

I can tell you as a hotel owner in the area that a luxury hotel like this located here will fail very quickly. The number of wealthy people from Guadalajara is limited, the demand for accommodations is 95% on Saturday nights only, the rest of the week is quite often no business. The Mexican customer comes here mostly looking for family accommodations, with families of six or eight, not luxury.
The gringos coming here are not looking for luxury, they want affordability and to stretch their retirement income as far as they can. Also they are only here from December to April, five months at best to earn enough to support them throughout the year when the gringos leave.
I have to ask what will the drawing card be here - the weather alone wont do it when the whole of Mexico has good weather to offer, many locations with beaches and supporting infrastructure, which we dont. It wont be the clean, clear waters of the lake that does it or the sandy beaches to laze on.
My best guess is it wont materialize unless the builders only want to dispose of money and lots of it.
